The SBS Blog – Welcome our new Senior Clinical Research Neurologist!

Here we GROW again! We are so pleased to be able to welcome our esteemed colleague, Dr. Kristiina Rannikmae to the Scottish Brain Sciences team as Senior Clinical Research Neurologist! 

Kristiina gained a PhD in the area of stroke genetics from the University of Edinburgh in 2016 and has over 10 years of experience working in the NHS, where she continues to work as a neurology consultant looking after patients with neurological disorders and stroke. She has subsequently held a Health Data Research UK fellowship and worked for the UK Biobank, where her expertise included developing methods for using routinely collected health data for research, as well as studying the genetic associations with stroke and cerebral small vessel disease.
