Our Edinburgh research centre is moving!

Exciting News: Our Edinburgh research centre is moving!

We are delighted to share that we are moving our Edinburgh base and headquarters from our current base in Gyleview House to a newly refurbished research facility within Scottish Gas Murrayfield stadium.

From April 2025, we will be able to welcome you to our new space, located in the South Stand of the stadium.

Scottish Brain Sciences

This move marks an exciting step forward, allowing us to enhance the research experience for you while maintaining the same high-quality clinical and laboratory facilities in a refreshed setting. Scottish Gas Murrayfield is the ideal location for us, offering:

  • Excellent transport links – with tram and bus stops right outside the stadium, as well as convenient on-site parking.
  • A prestigious, inspiring environment – Scotland’s national stadium, at the heart of world-class sporting and cultural events.
  • An innovative partnership with Scottish Rugby, who share our commitment to promoting better brain health for all.

We understand that any change can raise questions, and we want to reassure you that we will provide full details about your first visit to our new centre well in advance. You will have plenty of time to familiarise yourself with the arrangements for your next visit, including clear directions, parking information, and how to register with the gatehouse for secure access.

If your upcoming appointments are affected by the move, we will contact you individually to discuss any adjustments.

We are incredibly excited about this development. It reflects our ambition to lead the way in brain health research and to make participation in our studies as easy, accessible, and rewarding as possible.

Craig Ritchie, CEO and Founder of Scottish Brain Sciences, said:

“Moving to Scottish Gas Murrayfield is a transformative step for Scottish Brain Sciences. This iconic location symbolises national pride, determination, teamwork, and respect – values that resonate deeply with our mission. The sporting world teaches us invaluable lessons about working collectively towards ambitious goals and being relentless in the pursuit of victory. We bring that same spirit to the fight against Alzheimer’s. It’s not just a new home for our work; it’s a powerful reminder to every participant and every family affected by Alzheimer’s and similar diseases that they are valued and supported.”

If you have any questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

We look forward to welcoming you to our new home at Scottish Gas Murrayfield!
