Scottish Brain Sciences partners with Golf in Society to promote healthy ageing and brain health through the power of golf. This collaboration will bring brain health awareness and research opportunities to golf courses across Scotland and the UK.
We’re proud to share some exciting news… Scottish Brain Sciences is now an Official Partner of Aberdeen FC Women for the 2025/26 season!
Our name will be on the back of the team’s shirts this year, but this partnership is about more than just logos. It’s about shared values of passion, teamwork, and community, and a joint commitment to making a difference both on and off the pitch.
We are delighted to share that we are moving our Edinburgh base and headquarters from our current base in Gyleview House to a newly refurbished research facility within Scottish Gas Murrayfield stadium. From the week of 10th March, we will be able to welcome you to our new space, located in the South Stand of the stadium. This move marks an exciting step forward, allowing us to enhance the research experience for you while maintaining the same high-quality clinical and laboratory facilities in a refreshed setting.
Our CEO, Prof Craig Ritchie, and Chair, Mark Cook, were delighted to meet with Deputy First Minister,Kate Forbes MSP, at our new base in ONE Biohub in Aberdeen. This is a great opportunity to discuss how we will improve equity of access to Alzheimer’s therapies in the north east, as well as wider life science advances across Scotland. Read more…
Scottish Brain Sciences is delighted to be the first clinical site open in the UK & Europe, to deliver a clinical trial of a new active immunotherapy (a vaccine) aimed at preventing or slowing the progression of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Researchers working in the Scottish Brain Sciences (SBS) Biomarker Laboratory have this month begun to analyse blood samples for markers of Alzheimer’s disease. Read more here…
